The ask: Create a series of anthem videos that authentically demonstrate Staples' brand positioning: Make More Happen.
The idea: Staples is dedicated to small businesses who go out and make more happen. But one of the business challenges we kept running into was defining--even internally-- what "more" really meant. So we abandoned the idea of solving it ourselves and set out to let small businesses define it for us. What did we find? Whether it's a donut shop making some of the best donuts in the country, or the apple farm that's been in the family for generations, we discovered that "more" means something special to everyone--and that Staples--and the services we offer--is at the very core of helping more people find it.
The ask: Create a social campaign for the new line of Ink Joy pens.
The idea: One of the main differentiating features of these pens is the wide assortment of colors. So we came up with a tagline to demonstrate that: "Break out of boring." To kick off the campaign we created a video to show the breadth of color and the creative ways customers can use these pens to get more organized. From there, we created social sweepstakes consisting of a series of engaging posts that asked users to share their favorite color so they could be entered to win a prize pack.
The ask: Create a series of social videos to promote our line of flu season products.
The idea: Flu season sucks. Especially when you're stuck in the office. So we created two spots: One that ran around the time of the Super Bowl, and the second that was intended to be more evergreen.

The ask: Create a fun and engaging social campaign during the Super Bowl promoting Staples expanded assortment of products.
The idea: There's one thing advertisers can't say around the time of The Big Game. Which makes it challenging if you're a company like Staples, whose broad assortment of products happens to include bowls that happen to be super. After many calls with legal, we settled on calling them concave serving vessels, and promoted the heck out of them with social video that led to content articles, quizzes, and a Pinterest page. Our lawyers didn't love the idea, but Adweek did.
The ask: Come up with a March Madness social campaign.
The idea: Office Trick Shot Madness. We started a conversation with P&G via social media, challenging their brands to come up with videos demonstrating clever office trick shots using their products. We created a bracket that pitted our shots against theirs, and allowed followers to vote on their favorites to advance them to the next round. The outcome? Geobranding at it's finest.
